Bubba grew up in eastern Tennessee, but ironically never met up with Doug until the year 2000 while living in Bryan, Texas. The analogous duo spent the spring and summer of 2001 and 2002 in the flourishing recreational hub of New Braunfels, Texas (when not out traversing the state playing music). A true passion soon evolved for three new things in Bubba's life: chainsaw carving, surfing, and a constant companion he named Mardi Gras. Bubba helped build Cattlelacs in 2003, but forgivably left the central Texas heat for the cool Texas coast that summer. After spending the summer of 2005 in Phoenix, Arizona, he returned to Cattlelacs and carved through the fall of 2006. The carving recently took Bubba (and Mardi) back to Reliance, Tennessee, where he splits his time with Manchaca, Texas and the ocean.
